Choosing and installing the right door for a room in your home can sometimes be difficult, especially if you’re working in smaller areas. For certain projects, a pocket door kit might just be the perfect solution.
Unlike regular swinging doors, pocket doors slide along a track into a hidden compartment, concealing all the pocket door hardware inside the wall. There are different variations of pocket door kits, with some running along rollers below the door and others suspended from tracks above. A pocket door is often installed for design effect or to avoid the space consuming nature of swinging doors. Pocket doors are also easier to open and close for some people who use mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or scooters, because they slide conveniently out of the way.
